At Shoal Creek Puppies, we are committed to responsible breeding practices. Our program prioritizes the health, well-being, and quality of our dogs, ensuring they receive excellent care and appropriate genetic testing to support the long-term health of our puppies.
The puppies will receive two sets of vaccines before they go to their new homes. After that, they’ll still need two more booster shots to stay fully protected—one at 12 weeks old and another at 16 weeks old. This vaccine schedule helps make sure they build strong, lasting immunity as they grow.
Fleas are no joke! Dogs need monthly flea and tick treatment because what you see on the dog is only a small part of the problem. Only about 20% of fleas are on the dog, while the other 80% live in the environment—such as carpets, bedding, furniture, and the yard. Treating monthly helps break the flea life cycle and prevent re-infestation.
Your puppy will go home with flea and tick treatment if they are over 4 lbs. We also recommend talking with your veterinarian to choose the best ongoing flea/tick-prevention plan for your new puppy.
Puppies are dewormed every two weeks until they go to their new homes. Continuing a veterinarian-recommended deworming and prevention program for both heartworms and intestinal parasites is essential to ensuring a happy, healthy puppy.
Here at Shoal Creek Puppies, we are committed to giving our puppies the very best start in life. This includes training from day one to help develop well-rounded, confident companions.
Our puppies are taught to remain in their kennel when the door is opened until they are called out, which encourages patience and helps prevent bolting through doors. They also begin leash training and are taught to sit when movement stops, promoting polite behavior and reducing jumping when meeting new people on walks.
In addition, puppies learn to sit and wait before exiting doors and to walk calmly behind us when passing through, reinforcing good manners and teaching them to look to their handler for guidance. We also focus on individual kennel training, helping each puppy understand that their kennel is a safe, comfortable space where they can relax quietly when they cannot be directly supervised.
This early training lays a strong foundation for respectful, well-adjusted dogs in their future homes.
Here at Shoal Creek puppies we do require a $100.00 non-refundable deposit to hold your puppy until he/she is ready to go home. After picking out your puppy, you can pay the deposit and I will have a contract for you to sign at that time. The rest will be due at pick up.
We love caring for pets! If you have any questions or are inquiring about a special puppy, send us a message, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
